So here we are again, two years have flown by and we’re now thinking about Panto 2017.

Trying lines for the first time
Robert Rees has been gainfully filling in a great many hours, here and in France concocting the tale of Dick Whittington, together with appropriate songs and music. The script contains the usual number of corny jokes, and lots of laughs for audiences and cast alike!

The cast assemble
Our first auditions were held in the middle of September, and Sue and I were bowled over by the number of people who turned up, wanting to be involved. This has meant, for the first time ever, we have had no trouble in finding the right people to play the right parts.
There are of course some old favorites like Giant Underpants and Messrs Johnston, O’Shea and the evil Donovan, who automatically cast themselves! However, this year we have some great new talent to carry on the PADS Panto tradition.
Rehearsals start in earnest in the January. Performance dates are the 15th, 16th, 17th, and

Getting to grips with the opener
18th, February 2017. That is half-term week, and all performances start at 8.00pm apart from the Saturday Matinee which is at 2.00pm.
